You must first agree to all of these conditions to become a Muslim:
Believe that the Quran is the literal word of Allah, and accept all of it.
Believe that Judgment Day (Resurrection Day) is true and will come.
Believe in all of the prophets and the books revealed to them by Allah.
Accept Islam, with the intention to remain a Muslim forever.
Not worship anyone, nor anything, except Allah.
Believe that Allah is ONE, without children or partners, and that there is not a trinity.
If you agree to all of those conditions above, then you would recite a sentence called the ‘shahada’, which is the testimony of faith that a person says to become a Muslim.
These are the words of the Testimony (Shahada) below:
I testify:
“La ilaha illa Allah, Muhammad rasoolu Allah.”
The above Arabic words mean:
“There is no true god (deity) but Allah, and Muhammad is the Messenger (Prophet) of Allah.”
To hear the words pronounced for you, CLICK HERE, or click on the “LIVE HELP” button for assistance with one of our volunteers.
After reciting those words, with sincere belief in their meaning, YOU ARE OFFICIALLY A MUSLIM from that moment forward. It’s that easy!
Converting to Islam can be done alone, without witnesses, and it can be done with witnesses. It is valid either way. Allah is the best of all witnesses. If you wish to do it live with our assistance, click the “LIVE HELP” button below. We can also answer any questions that you may have after reciting the testimony.
