About us

Our Mission

The Shahada Social & Study Program mission is to help integrate new Muslims into a Muslim environment that is safe and welcoming, while providing a great source for educational, emotional, and social support, to suit every aspect of their needs as a new Muslim. 
The program is designed to further advance the learning process for the underprivileged, who can’t afford internet access easily, by providing access to learning, through affordable methods such as Whatsapp and Facebook Messenger. 

Our Goal

Our goal is to educate and strengthen new Muslims, and provide the emotional and social support network they need, to prevent them from falling through the cracks. We strive to prevent the decline back to pre-Islam behaviors, and beliefs, due to lack of knowledge and resources easily available to a new Muslim.
We provide them what they need to continue to grow to become strong, knowledgeable Muslims that can raise their own families as practicing Muslims, and to spread the message of Islam to their own communities.

  • Private mentoring available in Facebook Messenger, Whatsapp, or other social media chat platforms they use, as well as our website to learn the fundamentals of Islam, how to do ablutions, how to pray, and how to adjust to an Islamic lifestyle, and more.
  • Online resource bank (audios, images, ebooks, lesson curriculum)
  • A self-paced 10 level curriculum (with teachers available to teach it, or to read on their own) 
  • Access to study groups, as well as casual learning methods.
  • Access to qualified teachers at any time.
  • Access to chat groups to interact with other students and teachers to socialize and learn.
  • Advice/Counseling
  • Access to Quran teachers

Volunteers

  • Opportunities for various volunteer positions & training for each. (teaching/mentoring, administrative, media, graphics, research, social media, content creation, and much more)
  • Access to new Muslims that wish to learn.
  • Access to a prepared 10 level curriculum you can use. We have done the hard to prepare lessons – you just teach it!
  • Access to an online resource bank (audios, images, ebooks, lesson curriculum)
  • Access to chat groups to interact with other students and teachers to socialize and learn.
  • Access to team groups to work closely with other volunteers that do the same task to share experiences and provide peer-to-peer advice and support in this noble mission.
  • Opportunities to provide halaqas to social groups.
  • Opportunities to teach Quran for more advanced students. (free lessons)
